In one of the articles mentioned in this thread, I read “Imagine placing a watch flat on a table and pushing it back and forth. Of course the rotor would turn, but you haven’t involved gravity in the least.”
The article is desputing the fact wheter or not an automatic watch works in space (which we know it does, wjile astronauts have used them).
However, the above is not right in my opinion; because of the weight of the rotor (caused by gravity) the rotor turns…
