<description>Hmmm, you're quite right in my opinion. I own two rose gold watches, and almost the only time of the year I'm wearing them is with Christmas and New Year.

The Chronoswiss Régulateur à Tourbillon is fine for Christmas dinners. Not too thick, not too flashy, quite stylish, and you don't need a date anyhow this day...

The Ulysse-Nardin GMT-Perpetual +/- is far-out for the New-Year. Of course because of the change of the year digits - only once a year! Youre right, any perpetual calendar watch with year indication would do ;-) However the nice thing about the UN is that it changes the whole calendar so quickly - within 2.5 minutes. So 3 minutes past midnight everyting indicates the right thing - Sat 01 Jan 05 in this case.

I have to confess that I own another perpetual calendar watch, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Perpetual in stainless steel (with a black dial). This watch takes almost to three o'clock in the morning to change all the indications. A bit disapointing isn't it...

Best regards, have a nice Christmas and enjoy the change of the year!
