I think that this Ebel is an interesting watch, it is sober and offer a high quality caliber. Ebel is very underrated but offers great watches with a 5 year warranty that is unique in the watch industry.

Hi Gerard,

My mistake, source came out of German and I didn't read it correctly. What Ebel does is that they assamble the Zenith cal.400 base-caliber and attach a PC-module to it. The source did not mention where they got the module from or that they make it themselves. Like you already said, it would be strange if they do it themselves with so many good PC-modules on the market.

Martijn,

Can you confirm that Ebel has produced this perpetual calendar module them self? I can't imagine that they did the construction and production in house; I can't see the point in doing so as well. It looks like any other perpetual calendar module, so why invent it again?

Where did you get this information?

Best regards,

Gerard

Ebel can be indeed a very intresting brand. The one on the picture not only has the Zenith El Primero inside as a base movement but also has a perpetual calendar module attached to it made by Ebel itself. Further did Ebel use the GP cal.3300 and movements from Frederic Piguet. A pitty that what we mostly see in shopwindows are quartz.
