For laughs…

Seriously, there is nothing wrong with an Omega Seamaster Professional. On the contrary. However, introducing yet another(!) 007-Limited edition Seamaster Pro really provokes making the good old ‘Omega Limited Edition’-jokes. Seriously, 10.007 watches. It looks like Omega found another victim for their Limited Edition-jokes. Honoring a Limited Edition Speedmaster Professional with another Speedmaster Professional or even better… Honoring the 2 Limited Edition Seamaster Pro 007 series with another Seamaster Pro 007 Limited Edition.

Ok, all jokes aside now. This watch features the co-axial movement (Omega caliber 2500) and besides all Limited Edition crap on the dial and caseback, the case and bracelet are identical to those of the good old ref.2531.80 Seamaster Professional. The model you should actually buy and cherish. Nuff said :-)

I never understand why people would buy a limited edition of this James Bond watch when you can have the identical watch he is wearing in the movie….

    I couldn’t agree more.
I was in Basel this year, and saw this model. I spoke to one of the Omega salespersons, and “congratulated” him with fact that this is probably the ugliest watch Omega ever made. He was not amused, but politely showed me the other new models. The new regular Bond is a beauty, but the new movement, the applied markers and logo comes with a high bonus.
This only shows that the current regular SMP300’s (both black or blue) are a very good deal. (considering you can get 25% discount from your AD)

I really understand why people buy such a crap. First argument: It’s expensive, but not so much. Second argument: It’s Omega. Third argument: I have no taste at all, so if it says 007 on it, maybe should be good for me. Fourth argument: I don’t care anything about watches, and I don’t know whether last month there was one or another limited edition of the limited edition of the limited edition of… (well, you all know how it follows…), so I buy a pretty nice “limited edition”.

And I agree with Nivelacuso, when I saw it a couple of days ago, I thought it was some kind of joke. But it is real!!
