James (in Australia) does some fantastic work! He has just finished a 22x22 pilot strap for me, with pre-V buckle, made of ostrich leg. Contrasting stitching and a lovely cognac colour. It's going on a flieger with the Type 2 dial and 9-eater with a sandblasted case. The combination will be a killer. It seems we flieger enthusiasts are as much into straps as the Panerai folks! And it's all good. Truth to tell, if I hadn't decided upon ostrich I would have gone with an ammo strap.
