Through another forum I found out this pbase.com gallery by Kelvin Tan. He made a few very nice shots of his Chronoswiss Delphis. Besides that, his gallery at pbase is worth checking out for all other photos he has made.

A reason for me to start wearing my Chronoswiss Régulateur again :-)

WatchPic of the Week

Gerard submitted the following for the WatchPic of the Week:

The picture is of my most recent purchase. It´s powered by an in-house 2.0 litre V6 bi-turbo, 306 hp, movement with four over head cam shafts and 24 valves. Build in 1996. I mentioned that either people love it very much or they find it disgusting; it is certainly good for a lot of discussions.

Keep them coming to fratellowatches@gmail.com.

Just stay a bit on topic, here is the new watchpicture of the week. Steef Marcelissen has sent me a picture of his most recent purchase, a Girard-Perregaux Richeville Chrono, ref. 2710. This watch has a inhouse movement, the GP caliber 8381. The watch has a silver dial, blued Breguet style hands.

Congrats on your purchase and thanks for submitting it for the WatchPic Of The Week!!

Please keep them coming! Send them to fratellowatches@gmail.com. All other mail can be sent directly to info@fratellowatches.com ofcourse.

WatchPic o/t Week 35

Monday, August 29th, 2005

Some time ago, Jon Langballe (co-moderates the Omega Forum at WatchUseek) sent me a picture of his Seamaster 300.

I guess Omega nowadays seeks the internet as well, looking for “what’s hot and what’s not” amongst customers and collectors. Omega uses details from watches like these and apply them on new models like the Seamaster Planet Ocean and others (think of the vintage Constellation pie-pan and the modern DeVille Co-Axial).

Thanks Jon!!

WatchPic of the Week 33

Thursday, August 18th, 2005

It is already a long time ago, and I could use some more pictures in my mailbox to make it a bit easier. So if you happen to know a great picture, or am able to make one… let me know!!

Dale Vito sent me this one for Week 33:

The other ones till so far were a Blancpain, Rolex (twice) and Panerai.

Watchpic of Week 22

Tuesday, May 31st, 2005

It is time for Watchpic of the Week again! So I am biased (it is my blog anyway)… This week it is a Panerai PAM0027 by GDees.

Besides I like this watch a lot, it is a great picture in my opinion. Even though there is focus on the old photograph of the Officina Panerai store in the background, the picture is very sharp. The reflection makes it look ‘real’. Gerard once told me he rather has photos of watches with reflections, than photos who don’t have reflections at all. The photos that belong to the last category are in factory catalogues most of the time, which often do not give the watch the credits it deserves. A watch will always have reflections (except for PVD watches maybe) when you see it in the flesh or when you are wearing it, so why hide?

You can find more pictures of GDees here.

Watchpic of Week 21

Sunday, May 22nd, 2005

We missed week 20 because of my absence, but I hope the Watch picture of this week (21) makes it up a bit.

Regular visitor and Blancpain fan Martijn de Niet submitted a picture of this beautiful Blancpain Villeret with FP cal. 71 movement.

WatchPic Of Week 19

Tuesday, May 10th, 2005

A new category on Fratellowatches.com! A lot of non watch related blogs have some sort of picture day. Where they put the best/nicest or just all pictures on line on a certain subject. Why not for watches? Most watch fanatics can’t get enough of them!

This week, number 19 of 2005 according to this website, I kick off with this great photograph of a Rolex Submariner ref.5514, Comex edition. This photo was made by Paul Boutros and posted in this thread at WatchRap.com.

Enjoy!
