Chronoswiss presented a couple of new models at BaselWorld 2015, which can be divided into two categories. One is the somewhat modern sporty collection (a.o. a collaboration with German band Fanta4) that will speak to a young – and perhaps new – generation of watch enthusiasts and then there is the more classic line-up, that seems to be designed and developed in the spirit of Chronoswiss founder Gerd R. Lang.

We will soon cover the modern sporty collection, but I would like to start with showing you the beautiful blue Chronoswiss Sirius Artist Régulateur Jumping Hour with blue dial.

To start with the dial, it is made of solid sterling silver (925) and then received a guilloché and enamelling treatment by hand.  In the inlay is also made of sterling silver. The Chronoswiss Sirius hands are blued and hand-finished.

As you can see on the photos above, the blue dial is really mesmerizing. This blue version is only available in the stainless steel case. The 18-karat red gold case version comes with a white enamel dial.

The typical Chronoswiss case has been used for this Sirius Regulateur; screw-down bezel with side knurling, full thread und anti-reflective sapphire crystal; screw-down case back with satin finish, full thread and sapphire crystal; onion-style crown; water- resistant to 3 bar; screw-in lugs with patented Autobloc System.

The Chronoswiss Sirius Regulateur uses an automatic movement, caliber C.283. It features a jumping hour (located at 12 o’clock), a large minute dial and a smaller seconds dial (at 6 o’clock). The Chronoswiss movement has a power reserve of approx. 42 hours. The movement is based on ETA, but beautifully finished according to Chronoswiss standards. This includes a skeletonized and rhodium-plated rotor with co?tes de Gene?ve and ball bearing; polished pallet lever, escape wheel and screws; bridges rhodium- plated and decorated with guilloche a? main; plates with perlage.
