So, it’s getting much better now. I had nice and interesting conversations with Svend Andersen, Christiaan van der Klaauw, people from Cyclops and more of the intersting watch afficionado’s. At the same time I got used a bit to the overwhelming power which the Big Brands use to expose. And of course it’s not everything blah-blah what they’re doing. For instance the use of Silicon material by Patek Philippe for different parts in the movement is quite a technical revolution as well.

Sinn 903.H2

Today I’m off to Sinn; they have quite some good news, like the new 657, two new 903’s and the all new U1 and U2 – have a look here if you like.

Further I will meet the people from Nomos who are introducing their all new, fully in-house and first automatic movement. It will be used first in the Tangomat (based on the face of the Tangente, however slightly larger), which will be later followed by a Riomat (based on the Orion).

GC Turbo

As well today I want to have a look at Gerald Charles, which seems to be a new brand by Gerald Genta. Besides not liking the name too much and getting a bit of a flashy feeling from the models they show in their website, there could be some nice disigns and concepts from his hand.

ps. If readers would like to reach me here at the Basel fair, they might send an email at [email protected]. If you want to know something specific, or have questions directly to one of the watch compoanies just let me know and I’ll try to get the answer.
