Some Tips For Safe Watch Collecting

The robbery I blogged about a few days ago and the burglary at a friend’s house a day later, made me realize I should write down some tips for safe watch collecting. Although it is too late for Dale and Bas, I would like to ask you to read the tips I posted for this week’s MotoringExposure’s Wednesday Watch article.

Some Tips For Safe Watch Collecting

Some banks have safe deposit boxes for only a few bucks per year. Might be worth considering..

Some of the tips are probably an open door or simply too obvious, but I think it is good to realize that you might be loosing your valuable watches easier than you think. Also, if there is only one tip or advice in there you weren’t already aware of, I am more than happy. If you have any advice or tips too add, be so kind to help your fellow watch enthusiasts by entering them in the comment field.

When I am not posting articles here, I am probably editing articles for the other initiatives that I work for, such as MotoringExposure, AskMen, WatchUseek or Watch Magazine (Dutch). Lately, several articles appeared in these media.

Watch Ambassadors – Wednesday Watch

There are two types of watch ambassadors: those who get paid for it and those who don’t. Personally, I have more sympathy for the second group of ambassadors, but since money makes the world go ’round, I can understand that you want to wear a [for instance] TW Steel timepiece if they are really paying you well. In the TW Steel Facebook page, I found a photo album called TW Steel Celebs and the one below is the only one that rang a bell. It is ‘Ken Cosgrove’ who plays in HBO hit series Mad Men. Some other actors out there are luckier than ‘Ken Cosgrove’ and get at least to wear a nice Omega, Oris, Breitling or Audemars Piguet.
