Jaeger-LeCoultre will be celebrating the 80th anniversary of their Reverso model in 2011. Starting from the 10th of December, all Reverso-owners can submit their Reverso and story to the Virtual Museum of Jaeger-LeCoultre, where a museum curator will add your Reverso to one of the virtual rooms in this digital museum.

Above a picture of the new 2011 Reverso that resembles the original model from 1931, with only ‘Reverso’ on the dial and an ultra thin rectangular case. Therefor, JLC needed to use their extra thin hand wound caliber 822 for this watch. This model is only 7.2mm thick and will be available in stainless steel and pink gold. The latter one will be a limited edition, the stainless steel ‘Tribute to 1931’ Reverso will be a normal production model. The exposition will be open to general public online starting from SIHH 2011.

From what I’ve seen till now, my guess is that this new Reverso will be the new ‘SIHH’-darling 🙂 More information about vintage Reverso models can be found here, in an article I wrote in 2008.
