Alpina Extreme Sebring

Alpina Gen?ɬ®ve is proud to be the Official Timekeeper of the 57th edition of the famous 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race, which will take place from March 18-21, 2009 on Sebring International Raceway in Florida, USA. All the legends have raced at Sebring ?¢‚Ǩ¬¶ Mario Andretti, A.J. Foyt, Dan Gurney, Stirling Moss, Juan Manuel Fangio, Phil Hill, Briggs Cunningham, Jacky Ickx, Lake Underwood and dozens of other international motor racing heroes, driving race cars built by the world?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s great manufacturers such as Ferrari, Porsche, Jaguar, Maserati, Aston Martin and Audi.

For its 57th edition of this race, Alpina developed an exciting special limited edition: the Alpina Extreme ?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢12 Hours of Sebring?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢. The timepiece, with a case diameter of 48mm, is made out of black steel and carbon, has a matte black carbon dial and features clear indexes with a bold red ?¢‚ǨÀú12?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢, commemorating the twelve exhausting hours of the race. Inside an automatic movement with a power reserve of 42 hours. I am not sure, because Alpina refers to this movement as AL-525, but I think this is an ETA based movement.

There will be only 257 pieces of this watch, world wide. Go to the official Alpina Geneve site for a list of official retailers in your country. Click here. More information on the Sebring race can be found here.
