Art and craftsmanship. When it comes to functionalism in classic modernity, these two terms are inseparable. This is most clearly exemplified by the architecture of the Bauhaus movement, featuring consummate functionality and sober, timeless elegance. Herein lie the roots to the design vocabulary exhibited in Porsche Design.

The unique watches from the 1919 Collection reflect an advancement of functional aesthetics from the Bauhaus style. They continue the discrete design language by company founder and designer of the legendary Porsche 911, Prof. F. A. Porsche. The collection’s name represents an homage to the year Bauhaus Dessau was founded.

The “1919 Datetimer Eternity Black Edition” transfers the functionality of modern architecture to the design of high-end timepieces. The characteristic openings at the lugs and the transition to the sporty rubber strap or elegant titanium bracelet add a special lightness to the puristic aesthetics. The minimalistic design of the dial focuses the eye on the essential – time and date. The new “1919 Datetimer Eternity Black Edition” is available in the four variations typical for Porsche Design, in titanium and black. The case shows a diameter of 42 mm and is water-resistant to 10 bar. These watches of timeless elegance and perfect craftsmanship are built to last.
