Armin Strom x Gumball 3000 x Amsterdam Report

Fratello Watches was invited by Armin Strom to welcome the Gumball 3000 participants in Amsterdam. Armin Strom – Team 78 – participates with a Porsche to drive from Stockholm to Las Vegas. The Gumball 30000 rally started on May 23rd and will finish on Saturday 30th of May. On the 26th of May, the cars arrived in Amsterdam and we were there to cheer for the Armin Strom team.

However, something went wrong in Germany – rules are rules – where zee Polizei stopped a number of cars and pulled them off the road, as you can’t drive around in cars that look like rally cars. This also included Armin Strom’s Team 78 Porsche. So we didn’t see all cars finishing in Amsterdam, but we still had a great time.

Armin Strom brought a wide selection of their watches with them, including the models we’ve showed you here before. The evening was hosted from a superb location in the Amsterdam Arena, called “The Fifth” restaurant with a perfect view on the Gumball 3000 spectacle.

As soon as all cars that made it in time, finished in Amsterdam, DJ Afrojack gave away a fantastic 45-minute show in the Amsterdam Arena. Unfortunately we missed Hasselhoff and Lundgren, but the show by Afrojack definitely made up for that.

For this collaboration with Gumball 3000, Armin Strom designed three watches that we introduced to you here. Rumour is that these watches sell pretty well ever since they were introduced and especially amongst the participants of the Gumball 3000 Rally.
