We all seem to live a hectic life! Busy schedules, running around from appointment to appointment, commuting to work and so on. In the evening, especially if you have a family or busy social life, it is difficult to keep up with all the news and stories on watches.
You can of course use any RSS application to load the RSS-feed of your favorite websites, but some prefer a dedicated app to only show news about watches, for example. Govberg Jewelers developed an app called OnTime in which they present the feed of a number of well-known watch blogs around the world. This app is currently only available to iOS devices from Apple but they will introduce an Android version in the future as well. There are now +20 sources connected with Govberg’s OnTime app, such as aBlogToWatch, Hodinkee, Wound For Life, Quill and Pad, Escapement Magazine and of course Fratello Watches.
Govberg’s main business is of course selling and buying watches, so the app also contains functionality of on-line shopping at Govberg Jewelers as well as requesting a quote for selling a watch (you can upload photos of the watch you want to sell). Furthermore, there is a feature called ‘Watch Box’ where you can add images of your own watches, the brand and model’s name as well as the reference number. This way, you can build a little database with your own collection of watches. Of course, you can get an appraisal for the watches in your Watch Box using this app as well as scheduling a service with Govberg Jewelers.
The news overview will redirect you to the source’s website (e.g. https://www.fratellowatches.com) and if the website supports the ‘Reader’ functionality you can also switch to this ‘view’ that ignores the lay-out of the website.
Govberg created this app for their clients to provide them with an additional on-line service of buying and selling watches, but also to give their clients (or potential customers) added value by supplying them with the latest news on watches and the watch industry by aggregating articles from several watch websites and blogs.
