During this event held last weekend (14 November), Greubel Forsey was awarded with the Best Complicated Watch for its Double Tourbillon Technique timepiece. All contestors can be found here, at Horomundi (click for the overview).

Congratulations to Greubel Forsey to win yet another great prize, since they also won the “Best Complicated Watch” at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie Asia 2009 in Singapore with their Quadruple Tourbillon timepiece.

The event – held in Geneva’s Grand Theatre – hosted over 1500 guests and a large number of watch brand representatives. In all categories (Ladies, Mens, Sports, Complications, Design, Jewellery) there were numerous interesting watches, and some Horomundi visitors have tried to guess each prize winner per categorie in advance. The final conclusion was:

Ladies: Piaget’s Limelight Twice
Mens: Audemars Piguet’s Jules Audemars wristwatch with AP escapement
Design: Harry Winston’s Opus 9
Jewellery: Hublot’s One Million $ Black Caviar Bang
Complicated: Greubel Forsey’s Double Tourbillon Technique
Sports: Richard Mille’s RM 025 Diver’s Watch

Anyhows, the Best Complication watch is this Double Tourbillon Technique:

The whole event is captured in a nice photo essay by Ian Skellern, modertor over at Horomundi. If you are an avid Facebook user, you can also visit the Greubel Forsey photoalbum by clicking this link: https://www.facebook.com/GreubelForsey?ref=ts
