This year Nomos added some pretty funky additions to their collection. The Nomos Club Neomatik now comes in several colors: signalblau (blue) and signalrot (red). Let’s have a look.

Nomos Club Neomatik Movement

The watch is powered by the in-house 3001 DUW movement with the Nomos Swing System. It does have a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The exhibition caseback reveals the movement and its perlage finishing. Operation is smooth and thanks to the stop-seconds function you can set time precisely. The movement is cased within a stainless steel body and sapphire crystal on both sides. The lugs are quite lengthy and the lug width measures 18mm.

Elegant Size

The watch is relatively thin (9,27mm) thanks to the movement, which is only 3,2mm thick. The diameter of the watch is 37mm. The crown is nicely in proportion and fits the case. Overall, the case looks very smooth without any sharp edges. Ergo, a well-balanced and elegant, yet sporty look.

Accents

The rhodium-plated hour and minute hands pop out and are filled with Super-LumiNova. The bright neon orange small seconds hand definitely is a nice detail. However, I think it isn’t that readable on the red version. For a lover of these type of design details, it is truly amazing to see what NOMOS is capable of. For instance, check the nice contrasting coloured details or how the number kerning is applied to perfection. All dials have a matte finish and have a grainy structure. As a lover of strong bodied and powerful typefaces, the main typeface is a nice alternative if you don’t like the much thinner and slender typeface on the famous Tangente series for example.

Strap

The watch comes on a comfortable textile strap light gray strap with winged clasp, but is on request also available in dark blue. These watches come with a functional leather watch pouch instead of a massive presentation box. Very useful for those who travel a lot and like to take an extra watch with them.

Club Neomatik

The Nomos Club Neomatik could be a great watch for anyone who is looking for a colorful, modest sized watch with an in-house movement. It is legible with an own face, without getting to extravagant. Conclusion: it fits within what NOMOS design stands for and for 2420 CHF this watch could be yours (ref. 742: blue, ref. 743: red).
