Watchphotography

SteveS from NJ complains over at the Paneristi Forum that he dislikes the reflection in his photos of his Panerai BlackSeal. However, I feel that in everyday life, you see reflections in watches as well. So why try to hide it on a picture? There are some skilled photographers amongst watchcollectors, like John Holbrook II, who are able to make pictures of watches without reflections. These pictures are in some cases even better than the ones in the brand’s catalogue, however, this is not the way you see your watch when wearing it ofcourse.
