Tudor Heritage Black Bay In Midnight Blue

Our first meeting during the Baselworld 2014 exhibition was with Tudor. We had a little sneak preview before Baselworld even opened, during a diner with Tudor. They showed us the Tudor Heritage Black Bay in a new colour, midnight blue. The bezel that is, as the dial has gone from brown (the other Heritage Black Bay execution) to matte black. This 41mm watch comes with either a stainless steel bracelet or a blue leather strap. Another possibility is to wear it on an awesome blue NATO strap. The blue color reminds us of the NAVY watches that Tudor issued to the French in the previous century. The Tudor Heritage Black Bay features the same specifications as the brown / burgundy combination that was introduced in 2012.

Tudor Heritage Black Bay In Midnight Blue The Heritage Black Bay is a combination of historical Tudor Submariners from the period when they were just introduced (1954) using reference 7922 and the later period of Tudor Submariners from 1969 and onwards. For these Heritage Black Bay watches, they used characteristics such as the dial and bezel from the first series and the typical “Snowflakes” hands from the second generation of Tudor Submariners.

Not only of the Tudor Submariner watches but also from their Advisor, Prince, Oysterdate Big Block collections and so on. I love this watch. Also pretty enamored by the new Ranger as well. You mentioned a book on Tudour watches.
That you received with the press kit. Can you tell me how to get one of these books.

    Thanks a lot,
    Dan Ryan

    Hi Dan,

I am afraid you have to check with the Tudor distributor in your country. I am not sure whether these were gifts for the press or that they will become available at Tudor retailers as well (for customers). It is like a large catalog of their vintage pieces.

I visited the local high end watch dealer recently. I the first time in a very long time the new Tudors were the star of the show. More brands should up-size and refine their excellent old models (rather than tarting them up).
