Sinn introduces two new divers watches to their – already impressive – line-up of ‘taucheruhren’. The Sinn T1 and Sinn T2 – also known as EZM14 and EZM15 – are now also available with a matt-blue electroplated dial and a blue strap.
These watches have high-strength titanium cases that have been treated with their Tegiment technology (we did an inn-depth story on Tegiment here) and have a very nice bead-blasted finish. The Tegiment technology, in short – but we advice you to read the article we did on this treatment – ensures the watch is scratch resistant. During one of our meetings with Sinn, they made us try to scratch the Tegimented watch case with a screw-driver, it was simply not possible, even using a lot of force left no scratches or marks.
The Sinn T1 B measures 45mm in diamater and the Sinn T2 B is a bit smaller, with its 41mm diameter. The Sinn T1 B weighs 71 grams and the T2 B weighs 59 grams. The Sinn T1 is resistant to 1000 meters and the T2 to 2000 meters. The watches can be bought on a Ti bracelet, a leather strap or a silicon strap.
Not only do these watches comply with the DIN 8310 standards for water resistance, DIN 8306 for divers watches requirements but also to the European standards for diving equipment standards (EN250 und EN14143). The watches are resistant to 100 ATM (T1 B) and 200 ATM (T2 B) and have been certified for this as well. Very German is also the readability of the dial, using different shaped hands for the hours and minutes. Of course, the hands are luminous and so is the key-marker on the uni-directional diving bezel, be it in a different color for easy and quick readability.
Sinn equipped the T1 B and T2 B with a diving bezel that can’t fall/break off (imagine diving, being dependent on the watch for the remaining diving time and the bezel falls or breaks off the watch). Also, it uses Sinn’s Ar-Dehumidifying technology that prevents the watch from fogging up on the inside. The watches will keep performing in a temperature range of – 45 degrees Celsius to + 80 degrees Celsius.
Prices for the Sinn T1 B start at € 2490 Euro and the Sinn T2 B starts at € 2290 Euro for the versions with a leather strap. More information can be found on www.sinn.de. Prices might vary in other parts of the world, due to Sinn’s distribution system.
