Welcome to this special episode of Fratello Talks for LVMH Watch Week 2024! You join Nacho, Timo, and RJ, who run through the list of releases from Bvlgari, TAG Heuer, Hublot, and Zenith. It may still be early in the year, but we’ve already seen a ton of new watches. These brands have also given us more than a handful of new releases to be excited about. Among the novelties, you’ll find contemporary takes on classic designs, from Zenith adding a classic complication to a fan favorite to TAG Heuer bringing back the Dato dial in the Glassbox formula. Additionally, Bvlgari has dropped a couple of new, bold colorways for the Octo Finissimo, and Hublot is flexing its technical chops with the MP-10 Tourbillon.

If you want to know more about each of the watches we reference in the episode, you can find links to the corresponding articles below. But before I spoil it all, let’s see what the guys have on their wrists today!

Wrist check

We start with Timo, Fratello’s CEO, who is wearing his Omega Speedmaster Apollo 15 35th Anniversary (ref. 3366.51.00). With its black dial and rose gold touches, this Speedmaster is an excellent match for the NTTD NATO strap from Timo’s Seamaster. A fun fact is that this Speedmaster’s launch preceded the introduction of Omega’s proprietary Sedna Gold, so not all that sparkles is Sedna (in this case, however, it is still gold).

RJ is fully immersed in the Miami mood and is rocking his Ebel Sport Classic Chronograph in two-tone steel and gold. Rather appropriately, this watch features an El Primero movement inside, much like some of the watches that Zenith is releasing today. Though RJ has left his white blazer and Wayfarers at home, he’s still channeling his inner Don Johnson.

Finally, Nacho is wearing a Doxa Sub 300 Searambler (a name that refers to the silver dial). This specific example is on loan from Doxa and harks back to the 2017 50th anniversary of the watch. Hoping to have one to call his own someday, he takes every chance he gets to put this tasteful remake of the classic dive watch on this wrist.
