Introducing: The Roaring Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Formula One Team In Titanium
The Formula 1 season is about to start, and that also means new sponsors will appear on the cars. Beginning this season, Breitling will have its name and logo on the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team cars raced by Canadian Lance Stroll and Spanish double World Champion Fernando Alonso. Breitling is the team’s Official Watch Partner. And you know what that means: a watch for the fans is hitting the market. To celebrate the new partnership, Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Formula One Team makes its way to the starting grid. It’s a 43mm titanium not-so-limited edition of 1,959 pieces, paying tribute to the year of Aston Martin’s first foray into Formula 1.
How do you make people forget about almost two decades of partnership with Bentley? By teaming up with that other great British maker of high-end luxury automobiles, Aston Martin, that’s how. The first collaboration is with Aston Martin’s F1 team. In the world of Formula 1 partnerships, one of Ayrton Senna’s golden rules applies: “If you no longer go for a gap that exists, you’re no longer a racing driver.” With Girard-Perregaux having moved out of the way, Breitling dove in and secured a spot on the grid. The 43mm titanium Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Formula One Team is the first watch to materialize from the partnership between Breitling, Aston Martin, and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team as the brand goes to work as its Official Watch Partner on a multiyear deal.
The Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Formula One Team
Today’s Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Formula One Team marks a return to F1 for Breitling. Although the brand was never a big name in the highest class of motor sports, legendary F1 drivers, including Jim Clarke and Graham Hill, wore Breitling Navitimers in the 1960s. And in the 1990s, a Chronomat “Renault F1 Team” existed. The 2026–2027 F1 season marks the beginning of a new era.
The look of the 1,959-strong limited-edition Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Formula One Team has a stronger link to the era of Clark and Hill than that of Stroll and Alonso. After all, the Navitimer dates back to 1952. It was originally designed to be worn as a wrist-mounted cockpit instrument for aviators. The chronograph’s circular slide rule allows pilots to calculate speed, time intervals, and fuel consumption. Hill and Clark, who were both amateur aviators, used those functions on the track.
Team colors for the Navitimer
As you would expect, the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Formula One Team reflects the team’s colors. In this case, it means you get accents in Aston Martin Racing Green and lime, derived from the Aston Martin Aramco livery. For the first time, the classic Navitimer (excluding the Navitimer Aerospace and Super 8) features a lightweight titanium case. Its size should be consistent with serial-production Navitimers, meaning the 43mm housing has a 49.07mm lug-to-lug length and a 13.69mm thickness. As usual, it also has a 30m water resistance rating. Paired with the lightweight case is a dial made of carbon fiber, the most common material in F1. To ensure the watch is easy to read in low-light conditions, like the Singapore nighttime Grand Prix, there’s plenty of luminous material on the hands and dial.
Under the dial beats the automatic in-house caliber 01, a COSC-certified chronometer with a 70-hour power reserve. Through the case back’s sapphire window, you can see the special matte black rotor swing. It’s made of tungsten and features a high-durability PVD coating. Of course, it also displays the Aston Martin Aramco logo. On the titanium rim of the case back are engravings reading “One of 1959” and “Instruments for Drivers.”
The first time you will see the Breitling logo on the Aston Martin Aramco car and team apparel will be on February 9th. This is when the team will unveil the AMR26 F1 car. What we can reveal now is the price of the limited-edition Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Formula One. The first-ever titanium Navitimer B01 costs €10,500. Now you can race to the comments section and share your opinion on the partnership, the watch, its price, or all of the above.
