Awkward or not, North and South Korea together during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games was impressive to witness. To celebrate the Olympic Games spirit, Omega introduces 18 new NATO straps inspired by flags world wide, as well as 6 NATO straps that are inspired by the 5 Olympic rings: white bordered straps in black, yellow, green, blue and red, and a multi-striped version which blends all 5 colors.
All these straps come with stainless steel buckles and keepers. The flag-inspired can be ordered via Omega boutiques. Prices are probably around €188 (the official Omega website gives us the “Sorry, the price is not available in your country. Please contact a Boutique.”. The regular striped Omega NATO polyamide straps are priced at €188 though, including sales taxes so we expect these new flag-inspired NATO polyamide straps to be in the same league.
On the Omega NATO product page you can see the entire selection, and try them on a variety of Omega watches in the configurator. They included 39 watches from the current Omega collection for this ‘preview’ function. The straps will be available in 19, 20, 21 and 22mm.
€188 for a NATO strap is far from cheap, but we have yet to see a NATO strap of similar or even equal quality (and yes, we tried a lot of them).
