Sinn Introduces Four New Models Ahead Of Watches And Wonders: The 544, 544 RS, 308, And 936 S
Watches and Wonders 2026 kicks off next week, and this year marks Sinn’s first appearance at the fair. Likely to stir up excitement for this debut, the brand introduces four models ahead of the show. The lineup includes two versions of the 544, the limited 936 S chronograph, and the more unconventional 308 Hunting Watch.
The timing feels deliberate. Sinn has always operated slightly outside the traditional Swiss spotlight, so stepping onto that stage matters. These releases show a broad cross-section of what the brand does well — tool-focused engineering, spartan design, and the occasional left-field complication.
Sinn 544 and 544 RS — Reduction done right
The Sinn 544 and 544 RS lean heavily into reduction, bringing the Sinn aesthetic into proportions more suited to daily wear. Both models share the same 38.5mm bead-blasted stainless steel case, offering a 10mm thickness and 200m water resistance rating. The crown sits at 4 o’clock, a practical choice that improves comfort. Sapphire crystals on the front and back reveal the automatic Sellita SW200-2 movement with a minimum 60-hour power reserve.
The dial execution stays clean and functional. Both versions use applied hybrid ceramic luminous indexes, which concentrate lume more effectively than traditional applications. Legibility should be excellent in low light. The base 544 keeps things restrained with a white seconds hand, while the 544 RS adds a red seconds hand. This brings a touch of color without pushing the design too far.
At €1,390 on a strap and €1,740 on a bracelet, the Sinn 544 models sit firmly in the accessible end of the brand’s catalog. They feel like distilled Sinn — straightforward, robust, and quietly thoughtful in the details. I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love these!
Sinn 936 S — A focused chronograph with a clear purpose
The Sinn 936 S takes a more technical route. This limited edition of 100 pieces houses the brand’s Valjoux 7750-based SZ05 chronograph movement, which uses a 60-minute scale for the chronograph instead of the common 30-minute counter. The benefit is immediate readability, as our eyes and minds are attuned to a 60-minute display of time.
The layout follows a dual-register configuration, displaying chronograph minutes at 3 o’clock and running seconds at 9. The dial stays clean, with a matte black base and luminous hands and indexes. Additionally, the sub-dials feature a subtle concentric pattern, while the central chronograph seconds hand adds a bit of visual contrast. All in all, this looks exactly like you would expect from a Sinn watch.
The 43mm case uses Sinn’s black hard coating over a Tegimented base, which should offer strong resistance to scratches. Water resistance is rated to 100 meters, and the watch includes protection from magnetic fields of up to 1,000 gauss. At €4,150, the Sinn 936 S certainly ticks many of the spec boxes you could desire at this price.
Sinn 308 Hunting Watch — A niche tool with an unusual moon display
The Sinn 308 Hunting Watch is the most unconventional of the four. At its core sits a moonlight display at 6 o’clock, designed to indicate when natural moonlight is sufficient for visibility during nighttime hunting sessions. It is a stylized take on what is technically a moonphase complication.
The 40mm stainless steel case has a 12mm profile and offers water resistance to 200 meters. Inside ticks the SW382-1 automatic movement. The watch also uses Sinn’s Ar-Dehumidifying Technology to reduce internal moisture and prevent fogging. Although the hunting watches stray from Sinn’s typical design language, the feature set leaves no question as to what brand you are dealing with.
The dial stands out with its dark green tone and hybrid ceramic luminous elements. Both the indexes and the moonlight display use this material, apparently resulting in high luminous intensity. The center-mounted date hand adds another functional touch. Pricing starts at €2,570 for the watch on a strap and €2,870 on a bracelet.
Closing thoughts on these four new Sinn models
This set of releases shows Sinn in a familiar light. The 544 models focus on clarity and wearability, the 936 S emphasizes technical function, and the 308 explores a more specialized application. There is no attempt to follow trends here, although the 544’s subtler sizing could be regarded as such. I would be surprised if these don’t become fan favorites, and they should do very well for the brand.
What stands out is consistency. Sinn continues to refine its core ideas rather than reinvent them. Even the more unusual 308 fits within that framework. With Watches and Wonders 2026 as the backdrop, this feels like a statement of intent. While not a dramatic shift, it is a clear reminder of what Sinn does best and why it still appeals to a certain kind of enthusiast. My one gripe? I would have loved to see a properly re-engineered and redesigned bracelet from Sinn. It is, in my humble opinion, one of the brand’s few remaining weaknesses. Who knows? Maybe Sinn will have more surprises in store for us at Watches and Wonders.
