It’s the latest release in the brand’s 03Series line, which began with 2024’s Passion Project with H. Moser & Cie. This time, the brand’s cheeky humor bubbles to the surface, with refined details that show how playfulness and serious watchmaking can share the same glass.

Studio Underd0g has won enthusiasts’ hearts by refusing to take itself too seriously, even as its watches grow increasingly serious in execution. The new Studio Underd0g × Massena Lab 03Series Champagne & Caviar embodies that duality perfectly. The oversized “big-eye” sub-dial at 3 o’clock evokes a pot of caviar, and the base of the chronograph’s seconds hand mimics a champagne bottle’s silhouette.
Today’s release is based on the 03Series model, which debuted in a collaboration with H. Moser & Cie. After the passion-fruit-inspired debut, a glorious salmon-themed variation followed. Today, we see this monopusher chronograph return for the third variation.
Massena Lab was founded to explore unusual horological ideas that mainstream brands might never attempt. Studio Underd0g, meanwhile, thrives on turning those very “what ifs” into tangible, witty mechanical objects. It seems like a collaboration was long overdue.

The 03Series Champagne & Caviar has a 316L stainless steel case with a 38.5mm diameter and a 13.6mm thickness (10.8mm excluding the crystal) and a 44.5mm lug-to-lug. The three-part construction includes a screw-in case back and a signed crown. Water resistance is rated at 5 ATM, while Super-LumiNova C3 ensures legibility after dark. A pebble-grain calfskin strap from The Strap Tailor completes the ensemble.
Inside ticks the manually wound Sellita SW510 M MP b. This monopusher chronograph movement boasts 63 hours of power reserve. It features a custom Côtes de Genève ruthenium-anthracite bridge made exclusively for Studio Underd0g. Operating at 28,800 beats per hour, it delivers chronograph functionality through a single pusher, keeping the design clean. Accuracy is quoted at ±5 seconds per day.
The dial is where the fun begins — a two-layer construction with a metallic radial sunray base and a coarse dégradé top surface. The champagne hue contrasts with the dark green “pot of caviar” that is the chronograph’s minute counter sub-dial.
Initial impressions
Let me keep it short and sweet: what’s not to like? The Studio Underd0g × Massena Lab 03Series Champagne & Caviar forms yet another strong addition to both brands’ catalogs. I also actually quite like the combination of colors and textures beyond the mere visual joke.
If I put on my critical hat for a moment, I could question the model’s originality. Studio Underd0g is known for its tongue-in-cheek creativity. But you have to ask yourself: how many more cocktails and foods can the brand cover before it needs to pivot to the next thing? To answer that question, a few more, I reckon. Still, I am looking forward to seeing the team’s next efforts.
