Fratello Talks: Straum Watches And The New Straum × Fratello Jan Mayen Titanium With Co-Founder Øystein Husby
Today on Fratello Talks, we are joined by special guest Øystein Husby, co-founder of Straum watches. RJ and Nacho sit down with him to talk all things Straum, including the brand’s origins, meeting co-founder Lasse Farstad at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design, how their background in design and love for Norway’s wild nature has inspired their watches, recent innovations, and finally, the new Fratello × Straum Jan Mayen Titanium. Our second collaboration with the brand is available for pre-order from now until July 3rd at 6:00 PM CEST. So, whether you’re already a fan of Straum or have yet to discover what the brand offers, we recommend you tune in to this episode. Before we get into it, it’s time for a wrist check!

We start with RJ, who’s wearing his original Straum × Fratello Jan Mayen in steel. This was the first limited edition we collaborated on with Straum. With its distinctive textured dial and red tone, it’s still an attention-grabbing watch two years later. You can read the full story here.
Up next, Øystein is rocking a blue-dial Jan Mayen on the stainless steel bracelet. A new version of this watch and the other colorways will also be available in titanium from today onwards, complete with all the features and innovation we mentioned in the show. For more information, check out the Straum website.
Last up is Nacho, who is wearing the new Fratello × Straum Jan Mayen Titanium. It features an improved version of the dial, with a subtly sharper and more pronounced texture and the same bright red color. However, as you can see, the new titanium case is a game changer. Its matte texture highlights the polished accents and matches the newly engineered rubber strap. We could not be happier with this one!
