Fratello Talks: The Best Watches Under €5,000 In 2025
This week on Fratello Talks, we’re looking at some of the best watches under €5,000 in 2025. The last time that Daan, Thomas, and Nacho discussed favorites was a few weeks ago. Back then, they discussed their favorites in the sub-€2.5k price bracket. Today, they’re upping the ante and doubling the maximum price. This opens up their choice to countless more options, and you can bet they’re taking advantage of it. This budget unlocks plenty of brilliant watches, including some from brands typically considered entry-level to mid-level luxury (including Tudor, TAG Heuer, Cartier, and many more). So, if you want to know their picks, tune in to this episode. But now, let’s get to wrist check!
Wrist check
Thomas is wearing his trusty VPC Type 37HW in Dove Grey. Since recording this episode, the last of the 100 made was sold, so only the blue- and green-dial models remain. The Dove Grey model will not be made again, so congratulations to the lucky 100 people who got their hands on one, including some team members here at Fratello, like Mike, Nacho, and Jorg.
Daan is keeping things classy with his Breguet Classique 5907 in white gold. Recently back from service, it’s looking like new and ready for many more years on the wrist. Could this be the unexpected winner for the dress-watch summer of 2025?
And last up to bat, Nacho is wearing his Tudor Pelagos FXD. This black version is not just one of his favorite and most worn watches, but it’s also one of his picks for this list. Today, he’s wearing it on an elastic strap made by NDC Straps in the UK. If you want to read more about the brand, check it out here.
Fratello Talks: The Best Watches Under €5,000 In 2025
If you have €5k in your pocket, you can buy a truly great watch. That’s just a simple statement of fact. The only trouble you might have is picking the one watch for you. Today, we’ve set up the guys with the hypothetical of having €5k to spend in 2025. They each select three of what they consider to be the best watches under €5,000 in 2025. And, of course, they’ve included a handful of honorable mentions to go along with them. As is Fratello Talks tradition, we won’t reveal every watch selected here. However, here’s a glimpse at one from each of them, starting with Nacho. If you’ve been paying attention, you already know he’s going with the Tudor Pelagos FXD as one of his picks.
Up next is Thomas, who is getting dressy with a modern take on Cartier’s iconic Tank, the Tank Must SolarBeat. Under the hood of this seemingly classic dress watch is a solar-powered movement that provides it with easy-wearing accuracy and autonomy.
Finally, Daan has gone with the Holthinrichs Signature Ornament, the entry-level model from a local brand. If you want to hear all their picks, tune in to this week’s episode. Be sure to also leave your favorite watches (available today) for under €5k in the comments section below. And tune in next week for a new episode of Fratello Talks.
