Fratello Talks: Watch Styling For Enthusiasts
Today on Fratello Talks, Nacho, Thomas, and Lex join forces to discuss the topic of watch styling for enthusiasts, sharing some of their thoughts, opinions, and methods. Though some people like to think of watches as functional objects, they are closer to fashion accessories in today’s world. As much as that might sound like blasphemy to some, it’s hard to deny that it’s the truth. Many watches have blurred the lines between function and fashion, so it’s worth acknowledging the potential sartorial implications of wearing watches. So, whether you choose to dress with or around your watch, tune in and share your thoughts on the topic in the comments. Now, let’s get into wrist check.
Wrist check
Lex kicks off this week’s wrist check with his Maurice Lacroix Aikon #tide Benzilla limited edition. It’s a bold move, but it’s perfect for these long, warm days of late spring. Sometimes you want your watch to blend in, and other times, it’s about making a statement. I’ll let you guess which of the two Lex is going for here.
Thomas is wearing his trusty VPC Type 37HW Dove Grey. The great thing about the VPC, having been designed as a GADA watch, is that it is suitable for nearly every occasion. And thanks to this model’s monochromatic colorway, it’s as versatile as a white Oxford cloth button-down or a pair of dark-wash selvedge denim jeans.
And finally, your lumberjack-chic host with the most, Nacho, is wearing his Hamilton Khaki Field Auto. This is also an example of a rather versatile watch, and thanks to the khaki-green leather strap he has chosen, it matches the vibe of his outfit well. Sometimes subtle details like this can go a long way.

Those of you who count yourselves among the fashion-conscious will surely relate to some of the topics we discuss today. But for those of you for whom this is new territory, you may take away one or two helpful tips or even ideas on how this passion of ours can tie in to the concept of dressing well.
Do you enjoy dressing for/with your watch (i.e., matching straps, colors, etc.)? Or do you not think about the watch as a fashion accessory? Either way, we’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. And, of course, tune in next week for a new episode of Fratello Talks.
