Hublot Introduces The Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Editions
The first day of LVMH Watch Week coincides with the start of the Australian Open tennis tournament. The 2026 tennis season’s first Grand Slam at Melbourne Park sees the sport’s superstars competing for the trophy. Among them is Novak Djokovic, who holds the record for 24 Grand Slam titles. Those include 10 at the Australian Open, making it his most successful Grand Slam. It would therefore be strange not to keep an eye on the Serbian tennis star as a contender for this year’s title. On his wrist during the tournament is the new blue Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Edition. It is one of three GOAT Editions that Hublot unveils today.
These Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Editions follow the Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic that debuted in late 2024. That 100-piece limited edition was a special take on the Big Bang Unico, created using the old Lacoste shirts Djokovic had worn and the Head rackets he’d used. As a tennis fan, I find it fun to see these materials integrated into a watch. I love the concept behind that watch, and it was great seeing Djokovic wear it in tournaments during the 2025 season. For this new season, Hublot took that idea and created a trio of new editions celebrating the tennis star’s 101st professional tournament victory in November last year. By claiming that victory, Djokovic broke another record.
The story of the Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Editions
As you will understand, it makes sense to celebrate that huge accomplishment. But the way that Hublot has done so is also very clever. The blue, green, and red color variants represent the different surfaces on which Djokovic won his titles. But to make it even more interesting, Hublot split the total of 101 watches according to the titles the Serbian player won on each surface. Therefore, there are 72 pieces in blue, symbolizing Djokovic’s hard-court wins, 21 in orange for his clay-court victories, and eight in green for his triumphs on grass.
All the watches will be individually numbered, but they are not limited. Since Djokovic is still active on the tour, there is a good chance that he will win more titles. When he does, Hublot will produce another watch in the color of the surface on which he earned that victory. Just as with the 2024 edition, the brand integrated Djokovic’s old shirts and rackets into these watches. For this series, 12 of his blue polo shirts, four in orange, and two in green were needed to create the required volume of material. Hublot also used 12 of his rackets.
The details of the Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Editions
But that is not where the story ends. As we go through the details, you will see there is more to it. Let’s start with some specs. All three watches feature a case and bezel made from a composite material composed of Djokovic’s Lacoste polo shirts and Head tennis rackets. The case has a 44mm diameter, a 14.4mm profile, and a 300m water resistance rating. The case’s middle section is made from Titaplast, the world’s strongest polymer. Besides being incredibly strong, it is super lightweight, helping the watch weigh only 56 grams.
If you look closely, you will see that the six titanium screws holding down the composite bezel are shaped like tennis balls. Hublot had to specially develop these screws and the S-shaped screwdriver to affix them. Furthermore, the dial ring, crown, remaining case screws, and strap-release pushers are all executed in anodized aluminum.
The watches each come fitted with a white leather strap featuring white stitching that is embossed to resemble a padded and patterned texture, similar to the grip tape on one of Novak’s tennis rackets. The underside of the strap is lined with leather that matches the case’s color. A Velcro loop fastens the strap and folds through an anodized aluminum buckle that also matches the case color.
The Hublot MHUB6035 tourbillon caliber
Powering all these watches is Hublot’s MHUB6035, a self-winding tourbillon movement developed and produced in-house. As you can see, there is no traditional dial underneath the chemically strengthened Gorilla Glass crystal. The rehaut matches the case color and holds the minute track. But as you can see, it consists of two parts to make space for the tourbillon at 6 o’clock and the rotor at 12 o’clock. Additionally, two sapphire plates hold the white luminous indexes, which hover over the caliber, and the skeletonized and lumed hour and minutes hands rotate above it all.
As you can see, the arms of the tourbillon cage are executed in anodized aluminum and match the case color. Additionally, the rhodium-plated 22K red gold micro-rotor at 12 o’clock features a laser-engraved Hublot logo. It’s a wonderful display of technical wizardry, and you can see the majority of the movement’s 293 components.
The tennis story continues…
The conceptual fun continues on the back. If you turn the watch around, you will get a clear view of the movement’s specially designed mainplate. The Hublot engineers did a fantastic job creating a three-dimensional lattice that resembles the tennis strings in Djokovic’s racket. Each string is a mere 0.55mm thick and appears to be secured into the mainplate by using a construction that mimics the grommets on a tennis racket.
The gaps between the strings are intentionally irregular, resembling the strings during a match. In reality, the mainplate is a single piece cleverly machined using a high-tech laser engraving technique. Once engraved, the mainplate is finished with a black PVD coating. Printed on top of the coating is Djokovic’s signature “ND1” logo.
Visible through the racket strings is the movement’s barrel, decorated to resemble a tennis ball and offering 72 hours of power reserve. The aluminum ring that keeps the case back in place carries the watch’s individual number, corresponding to the total of title wins on that surface. Lastly, the words “Greatest Of All Time” are engraved and finished in white lacquer.
Final thoughts on the Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Editions
Overall, these new Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Editions are great new releases to celebrate the tennis star. The lightweight materials, the impressive caliber, and, most of all, the integration of Djokovic-related details make for a remarkable trio of tributes to the sport’s most successful player. Each watch has a retail price of €115,000.
Before writing this article, I briefly went over the Serb’s career stats. What he has achieved over two decades is nothing short of jaw-dropping. Considering that Federer and Nadal were also competing for titles against Djokovic makes his achievements even more impressive. And the best thing is that he is still active, so he will likely add even more victories to his long list of titles.
My compliments to Hublot for this fitting tribute to Novak Djokovic. Not only are these three new timepieces a grand celebration of his successes, but they also make me excited about the new tennis season that started a few weeks ago. However, as tennis fans know, it really kicks off today with the start of the Australian Open. Let’s see if Djokovic can make it his 25th Grand Slam title. I’ll certainly be following the Serbian star’s matches closely. On top of that, I will keep an eye out for that blue Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Edition on his wrist before and after the matches!
