Oracle Time Hosts Hands On Horology Watch Event This June
The UK’s leading watch publication, Oracle Time, announces a new watch event for the enthusiast community. Hands On Horology will take place on the 14th of June 2025 at Protein Studios, Shoreditch, London, UK. Showcasing more than 40 brands, from independents to globally recognized watchmakers, the event will have something for everyone. There will also be many opportunities to place watches on wrists, where they belong, hence the name Hands On Horology. Taking it further, some watches will be available to purchase, providing a nice souvenir from the trip. The single-day event will be split into morning (09:30–13:30) and afternoon (14:00–18:00) sessions.
Many returning from Watches and Wonders note that the fair is about the people you meet rather than the watches. It’s a touching sentiment, but the reality is that those attending without a media or trade pass rarely get to go hands-on with the new watches from the big brands. It’s a shame that the best you can get is a view of the latest watches behind a window. Revelers would turn up at the Rolex booth to see the new watches, only to be handed a hefty catalog. The experience of visiting fairs in this format can dampen enthusiasts’ desire to get more involved. This is why Oracle Time sets its sights on improving this perception and engaging those who actually buy the watches.

AnOrdain, which presented at the Windup Watch Fair in San Francisco in 2024, will also attend Hands On Horology

The approach to putting the focus on watch enthusiasts contrasts with the trade-show attitudes. To tailor it even further, there are additional package options. The general admission to Hands On Horology, at £25, includes a welcome drink and limited-edition InkDial artwork. With a priority pass, which costs £40, you get an additional complimentary drink, a branded tote bag with merchandise inside, and a chance to have your watch drawn live by InkDial.
The participating brands include Doxa, Junghans, Horage, Frederique Constant, Christopher Ward, Studio Underd0g, Herbelin, Ball, Alpina, Formex, Nodus, Baltic, Beaucroft, anOrdain, Venezianico, Paulin, Serica, Awake, Jean Rousseau, Duckworth Prestex, Favre Leuba, RZE, Boldr, Micromilspec, Haute Rive, CIGA Design, and more.
