Photo Report: The Third Edition Of the Speedmaster GTG Netherlands
Last weekend was the third edition of the Speedmaster GTG Netherlands, initiated and organized by Speedmaster fan @watchstick_81. A healthy total of 57 guests from 13 countries gathered on a Sunday afternoon at a beautiful former estate from 1758 near the city of Utrecht. All of these people had one thing in common — a love for Omega’s Speedmaster chronograph watches. This event was only accessible via a personal invitation to keep things exclusive (and safe).
Speedmaster GTG Netherlands Part III
An Omega representative was present to showcase some of the recently introduced Speedmaster watches, as well as Moonwatch Only authors Anthony Marquié and Grégoire Rossier to introduce their new book, Moonwatch Dials. According to organizer @watchstick_81, it took him approximately nine months to prepare everything for this event, including the artwork especially created for this third edition of the Speedmaster GTG NL.
Safety, trust, and passion
He adds, “Speedmaster GTG NL is my non-profit passion project where collectors from all over the world are welcome to join, in a beautiful Dutch location that combines safety, trust, and passion. It is by invitation only, and all participants share the costs for the location, decoration, and catering, regardless of the size of each collection. One of my primary goals is that every guest should leave feeling satisfied and have had a great day. I am proud to say that the last three editions were a success!”
A mix of vintage and modern Omega Speedmaster watches
Some of the guests brought incredibly rare pieces, such as an Omega Speedmaster CK2915-3 in excellent condition, late 1960s Omega Speedmaster “Racing” versions, original Ultraman watches, and rare blue/gray-dial Speedmasters.
This event allowed guests to admire a wonderful mix of vintage and modern Speedmasters. As it was purely a get-together, with no program featuring presentations, workshops, or anything else, I will move on to the watch-spotting part. Enjoy the images below!
