Introducing: The Tasty H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Smoked Salmon — Bon Appétit!
The newly introduced and tasty H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Smoked Salmon sure helps you work up an appetite. Just hearing its name, I envision tender smoked salmon with thinly sliced avocado, pickled red onion, and ground black and red pepper atop a crisp, warm slice of sourdough toast. To heighten the experience, I’ll either pour myself a chilled Pouilly-Fumé or have an ice-cold vodka for the kick of it. I may just need a bit of a kickstart if I want to finish this introduction article on this new MoserQP. Bon appétit and cheers!
The H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Smoked Salmon (1800-0207) has a 42 × 13.1mm white gold case. On top is a curved sapphire crystal; the same is true for the case back. While we’re on the back of the watch, you will not only see the hand-wound in-house caliber HMC 800 Manufacture in its full glory. The 3Hz movement with its double barrel providing 7 days of power reserve, an interchangeable Moser escapement with a double hairspring, a gold pallet fork and an escapement wheel, also indicates the leap year cycle on this side. The hand-finished movement powers the hours, minutes, small seconds at 6 o’clock, big date, and a perpetual calendar with a small central hand for the month indication, a power reserve indication at 9 o’clock, and the aforementioned leap year cycle indication. Furthermore, the crown-setting of the perpetual calendar is foolproof.
The delectable dial of the H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Smoked Salmon
The QP concept and the Endeavour case are neither new nor the smoked salmon dial. In 2023, H. Moser & Cie. served the Streamliner Centre Seconds Smoked Salmon, and it proved a popular choice on the menu. The watchmaking “chefs” at Moser decided to serve it again, but this time with a vertical griffé finish, giving the dial a vibrant texture not unlike a natural type of stone.
The Moser signature fumé effect is the cherry on the cake, although cherries and salmon are a bad combination. The salmon Moser smoked for us is so fresh that it shows subtle reflections, from soft copper to a warm brown. Moser’s expertise is evident. The dial’s colors are very nuanced. This is not cliché salmon pink; what you’re looking at is much more of a refined delicacy.

Also on the dial are the H. Moser & Cie. logo in transparent lacquer, leaf-shaped hands, and applied indexes with a 5N red gold finish. A subtle yet clever feature is the small arrow-shaped center hand indicating the months — 1 o’clock stands for January, and 12 stands for December. The big date display is impossible to overlook, and so is the lacquered small seconds sub-dial with a circular pattern.
You’ll wear the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Smoked Salmo on a hand-stitched, dark brown alligator nubuck leather, which closes with an 18k white gold pin buckle engraved with the Moser logo.
