Photo And Video Report: Speedy Tuesday Event In Hong Kong
On January 13th, we hosted our first Speedy Tuesday event for 2026 in Hong Kong. With about 80 guests, we celebrated the day that became synonymous with the Omega Speedmaster in the world of watches. Since 2013, we’ve been organizing events worldwide for collectors and enthusiasts of Omega’s most famous chronograph.
Our second Speedy Tuesday event in Hong Kong
In close collaboration with Omega, we selected Hong Kong as our first destination for this year. We already had a Speedy Tuesday event there in 2019 and thought it would be about time to go there again. This time, we held the event in the beautiful K11 Musea shopping district.
Usually, these events are hosted at different locations, but Omega’s new boutique had a beautiful space available inside to accommodate this number of guests.

In attendance weren’t only guests from Hong Kong; they also came from Thailand, the United States, Europe, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Australia, and other parts of the world.
The Speedy Tuesday events are a great opportunity to meet others and share the passion for Omega’s best-known chronograph watches. Omega’s recently opened boutique in K11 Musea, a luxury shopping district in Hong Kong, was perfect for this event.
Speedmaster collector Bhaskar takes the stage
For this event in Hong Kong, we had a guest speaker from the Speedy Tuesday community, Bhaskar Eswaran.
He’s a seasoned Speedmaster collector from Australia who gave a full rundown of the Speedmaster’s history, NASA’s role in it, and which models the astronauts used during space missions.
Flown and astronaut-owned Speedmasters
Omega brought in some flown and astronaut-owned Speedmasters from the company’s archives, and Bhaskar also owns a fair number of flown Speedmaster (and Flightmaster) watches. The guests were able to go hands-on with these watches, including the gold commemorative Speedmaster that astronaut Gordon Cooper owned.
Reverse Panda
Besides the talk on flown Speedmasters, there was also the introduction that day of the two new Omega Speedmaster Professional “Reverse Panda” models (which we covered here). These new additions to the Moonwatch family were warmly received by the Speedy Tuesday audience.
Although some had already seen leaked images online before the event, they said that seeing and trying the watches in real life made a difference. The double-plate dial construction adds depth, and the glossy dial with applied indexes made quite an impression on the attendees.
The gold version was less of a surprise, or it should have been, because enthusiasts had already spotted it on the wrist of Colman Domingo during the Met Gala last year (we posted about it here). This gold version was examined with a lot of enthusiasm from the crowd, as it’s a standout piece, but so is the price tag, of course. It will remain an exclusive Speedmaster Professional for the fortunate ones, but this event provided an excellent opportunity to at least give it a try on the wrist!
Bring your Speedmaster!
I always enjoy seeing or asking which Speedmaster models people are wearing on their wrists, and this time, it was a wild mix of vintage watches and the latest models from the Speedmaster catalog.

Dim sum!
After the event, near the K11 Musea boutique, we had a great dinner of some impressive dim sum! We thoroughly enjoyed the Speedy Tuesday event, seeing familiar collectors, and getting to know many new Speedmaster enthusiasts as well!
It was great to see everyone having a wonderful time discovering the flown Speedmasters and enjoying the newest additions to the collection.
