Introducing: The Hublot Big Bang Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary Limited Editions
Hublot teamed up with Ahmed Seddiqi for a mutual celebration. Hublot’s greatest hit, the Big Bang, turns 20 this year. Meanwhile, the brand’s longstanding retail partner in the United Arab Emirates, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, celebrates 75 years in business. Together, the two companies launch two Hublot Big Bang Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary limited editions.
The team at Seddiqi will not let this occasion pass quietly. The house does a host of collabs with many of the brands it represents, including Hublot. For this particular collaboration, we get two altered versions of the Big Bang 20th Anniversary models. The first, limited to 10 pieces, comes in full black ceramic. The other features a titanium build and sees a production run of 25 pieces. Let’s have a closer look!
Who is Seddiqi?
Seddiqi is a family-owned business in the UAE that brings together several disciplines under one umbrella. Its core retail arm, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, operates more than 50 boutiques and offers over 80 watch and jewelry brands. Over time, Seddiqi has grown into a major force in the region’s high-end watch world.
Beyond retail, Seddiqi runs a substantial after-sales and servicing division. Its Swiss Watch Services workshop, active since the 1960s, handles restoration and maintenance at scale. The group also supports horology education through the Seddiqi Watch Academy, which teaches Swiss-standard watchmaking in partnership with WOSTEP.
Seddiqi also plays a cultural role in the watch world through Dubai Watch Week, a biennial event that gathers collectors, brands, and watchmakers. No wonder, then, that numerous brands wanted to honor Seddiqi with a 75th-anniversary limited edition, such as the Hublots we see here.
The Hublot Big Bang Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary All Black
The first Hublot Big Bang Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary model is a variant of the Big Bang 20th Anniversary All Black. This means it has a 43 × 13.2mm black ceramic case. Hublot rates its water resistance at 100 meters. The watch comes on a neatly integrated textured rubber strap in black.
Inside ticks the in-house automatic HUB1210 Unico movement. This 354-component chronograph caliber beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 72-hour power reserve. It features a date complication, which sits neatly hidden at 4:30. In this model, the caliber also has a black finish and a skeletonized rose gold rotor commemorating Seddiqi’s 75th anniversary.
Hublot’s 20th Anniversary edition features a stamped carbon-effect dial, also in black. The Hublot Big Bang Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary edition looks the same except for the numerals. The Western Arabic numerals of the regular model make way for Eastern Arabic numerals on the Seddiqi edition. This includes the numerals on the chapter ring, 60-minute sub-dial, and date disc. Hublot has produced 10 of these, each with a price of CHF 24,900.
The Hublot Big Bang Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary Titanium Grey
The second Hublot Big Bang Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary model differs from existing Hublots a bit more. This one comes in a titanium case with the same measurements as the All Black. Notably, it also has a titanium bezel, contrasting the ceramic bezel on the most similar standard-production Big Bang 20th Anniversary, resulting in a wholly different look.
The watch is further distinguished by the Eastern Arabic numerals and 5N 18K rose gold details. The titanium case and gray rubber strap provide a sporty aesthetic, while the rose gold lifts it into a slightly more luxurious realm.
Under the hood, this model is identical to the All Black, except it swaps the movement’s black finish for a gray one. The Hublot Big Bang Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary Titanium Grey costs CHF 21,900 and is limited to 25 pieces.
