Last evening, in the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel, Ace Jewelers organized a watch appraisal for their customers. You could bring your own (vintage) watches and have them appraised by professional appraisers (Ronny Wooter and Anton Gaemers). The find of the evening was a Rolex Daytona ref.6241 that a guy bought in the late 1960s for 700 Dutch Guilders (approx 320-350 Euro now) and stored in a safe for years, and didn’t get it out before yesterday evening. Follow the link at the end of this post for pictures.
Gerard and I joined the party and I took some photographs during the evening. Below, you see Ronny Wooter looking at a vintage Omega Cosmic. A beauty!
You can find all pictures I took and a short summary of the evening in the public forum over at WatchUseek. Click here to go there. If you have Facebook, you can also find them there in my photo album.
