Omega Puts An Elegant Spin On The Ladies’ Seamaster Aqua Terra
Natural lines and precision engineering combine in a collection of timepieces designed especially for women who seek-out elegance with an edge. The well-known dial in new colors, couple with Omega’s female-focused communication strategy surely foreshadows the success of the new Seamaster Aqua Terra for ladies.
Among many ladies’ releases of 2021, the ones I was waiting for the most have just appeared. As the creator of Omega Ladies Club, Omega watches are the ones I love and the ones I wear. Therefore, last week when Omega’s novelties arrived at HQ and landed on my desk, my heart immediately went out to the new Seamaster Aqua Terra for ladies.
The Powerful Dial
There are few better additions to an outfit than a versatile watch. The Aqua Terra is a smart investment for exactly that reason. It’s elegant, versatile, and easy to style. Thus, I’ve been really pleasantly surprised that the ladies’ collection known for its wavy dials is expanding!
For me, the most mood-elevating feature is the dial. The pink wave-patterned dial with the 11 marquise-cut diamond-paved indexes brightens up the wrist and suits every occasion. A 6 o’clock date window ups the functionality here. This dial looks stunning in natural light — it is simply remarkable. Additionally, it gives charisma to the most versatile watch Omega has in its offer.
Another strong element of this design is the diamonds! Watches with diamonds are changing the jewelry landscape drastically. Firstly, they are more practical than bracelets. Secondly, focusing on new materials, conscious sourcing of stones, and innovative techniques used for dial or bracelet decoration have a real opportunity to win the hearts of their female followers. Here we are dealing with a very special 34mm case — its bezel is not only made of Sedna Gold but it is also set with 46 brilliant-cut diamonds. This two-tone beauty comes with the alligator strap in rosé champagne color.
The 8800 Movement
Speaking of its practicality, behind the see-through case back of the new Seamaster Aqua Terra for ladies, Omega has located its self-winding 8800 movement. The 8800 features hours, minutes, seconds, and date. Naturally, like every Omega with approved-by-METAS movement, this timepiece is resistant to magnetic fields of at least 15,000 gauss. While the power reserve of the 8800 is 55 hours.
For 2021, Omega plans to release eight new models of which four feature diamond indexes, while another four models are having marquise-cut red rubies. In addition, red rubies versions have a different dial color. It’s a different, more intense shade of pink.
So to summarize, I believe the new Seamaster Aqua Terra for ladies is edgy and contemporary yet very on-trend. The choice of color is truly important. It gives these surprising, non-traditional vibes that I expect from any ladies’ timepiece. The retail prices for this Aqua Terra is €15,700 (CHF 15,700). But what are your feelings?
