Say “tourbillon” and I will reply with “Breguet”. But the truth is, that there are many other brands out there that mastered the tourbillon complication. This week, I have four pre-owned tourbillons for you, from known and lesser-known brands. What they have all in common, is that they are far below the price of a Breguet tourbillon.

The selection I have for you this week is a bit more expensive than our normal fare. But for a tourbillon, everything below €25,000 is almost for free. The cheapest pre-owned tourbillon in our list is the TAG Heuer Carrera 02-T and the most expensive one is from Ulysse Nardin.

All watches are pre-owned and picked from Chrono24. Every week we pick a few pre-owned watches from Chrono24, the largest market place for wristwatches in the world — watches that we love ourselves, or think they will be interesting to you.

TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon

TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Heuer 02T

The offer we have here is a TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Heuer 02T tourbillon from 2018. It is a pretty cool watch and checks a lot of boxes for someone who doesn’t want to have the typical “Breguet” style tourbillon. Perhaps that’s also the downside for a lot of people. Shouldn’t a tourbillon be in precious metal? Part of the exclusivity of a tourbillon is often the luxury feel that comes with it. I am not sure if I agree with that. If you really love the idea of having a tourbillon complication and you like sporty watches, this Carrera Chronograph Heuer 02T is something to consider. Price? €13,500.

Arnold & Son UTTE tourbillon

Arnold & Son UTTE

UTTE stands for Ultra-Thin Tourbillon Escapement. This movement is less than 3mm thick. Arnold & Son makes some pretty interesting watches. It has become very silent around this brand but it is still around. Don’t let that stop you from having a look at this tourbillon with a price of €17,910. This watch is being offered as pre-owned with minor signs of wear. Box and papers are all there.

Chronoswiss tourbillon

Chronoswiss Régulateur Tourbillon

I have a weak spot for Chronoswiss (I have a Regulateur myself) and I remember vividly when they came out with this model. A very modest 38mm case, very wearable, with a Progress base caliber tourbillon. This movement, C.361, is a manual wound caliber in an 18K yellow gold case. The watch has this beautiful guilloche dial and the movement is certainly not the thinnest, but beautiful to look at with its Côte de Geneve finish and chatons. The price is still below €20K with its €18,800. This Chronoswiss dates back to 2005 and comes with all boxes and papers. Additionally, if I am not mistaken, those papers are hand-signed by founder Gerd. R. Lang with his green inked Pelikan pen.

Ulysse Nardin Executive Skeleton Tourbillon

Ulysse Nardin Executive Skeleton Tourbillon

Crossing the 20K with this UN Executive Skeleton Tourbillon. Aside from its rather silly name, this 45mm titanium watch is more of a sports watch than a typical skeleton dress watch. This watch is pre-owned and dates back to 2017. The Dutch dealer who has it on offer is an authorized dealer of Ulysse Nardin. This UN is numbered on the case band and offers a clear view of the movement through its skeletonized dial. According to the seller, the watch is in very good condition and comes with box and papers. This light-weight watch comes on a leather strap with titanium folding clasp. Price? €23,225.

That’s it for this week’s pre-owned watch selection! Make sure to check out Mike’s Wrist Game or Crying Shame articles where he zooms in on a specific model, where you can give your vote as well. It’s fun!

Happy hunting!
