A Colorful Celebration Of Life: The IFL Watches × Out Of Order Shaker Happy Hour

IFL Watches keeps surprising us with fun, colorful watches that celebrate culture, art, and life in general. For its newest release, IFLW celebrates life with Italian brand Out of Order. OOO is known for creating watches with a distinctive, worn appearance. Now, for their first collaboration, the two brands created the special Shaker Happy Hour, a fun version of Out of Order’s Shaker GMT. The result is a watch that represents the moment when a good night becomes a great night — when you lose track of time, and happy hour is the only thing to keep track of until you go home.

In all honesty, I have never held a watch from Out of Order in my hands. I have heard about them, and Mike covered the standout Casanova 38 MOP series that I quite like. But I mostly know the brand for the aging techniques it uses on its watches. In fact, Out of Order is one of the leading watch brands that uses aging techniques, calling the process “Damaged In Italy.” But that’s not the only thing OOO does to make its watches stand out. A quick look at the collection reveals that the brand also uses traditional techniques, like enameling, to create its colorful watches. This makes it particularly interesting to see how the Shaker GMT looks with one of IFLW’s hand-painted dials.

The idea behind the IFL Watches × Out of Order Shaker Happy Hour

The concept for this limited edition was to create a timepiece that celebrates happy hour. The special hand-painted dial captures the moment deep into the night when everybody stops behaving and simply lives in the moment.

That moment is symbolized by a skeleton celebrating well past the end of its life, a dancer who has lost track of time in front of an eight-ball, and a yellow smiley face at the center that has clearly had enough fun for the night. Two cocktail glasses above the smiley face complete the party scene, and a 24-hour GMT bezel frames it, representing that it is always happy hour somewhere.

The canvas for these late-night shenanigans is the Bomba Blu – Ultra Brushed version of the Out of Order Shaker GMT. The watch has a 40mm stainless steel case with a 47.5mm lug-to-lug, a 13.25mm thickness, and a 300m depth rating.

Hovering over the colorful hand-painted dial are four lume-filled hands. These allow you to keep track of home time and local time in conjunction with the 60-click bidirectional bezel. This bezel features an insert in two shades of blue and a treatment of luminous paint, so the numerals and speckled pattern light up in the dark. Finishing the look is a brushed and polished Oyster-style bracelet featuring a folding clasp, a security lock, and a push-button release.

The Seiko NH34A GMT caliber

Inside the case, Out of Order equips the watch with the Seiko NH34A. This automatic caller-style GMT movement runs at 21,600 vph, has 24 jewels, and offers a 41-hour power reserve. It’s a popular GMT caliber among small brands offering affordable watches. Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer the much-desired practicality of a flyer-style caliber. That said, it is reliable and has a modest accuracy rating of -20/+40 seconds per day.

Each of the 200 pieces of this limited edition comes in special shaker packaging that suits the concept. The IFLW × Out of Order Shaker Happy Hour will be available for €995 / US$990 / £790 starting on August 31st, 2026, at 16:00 CEST. Final thoughts on the IFL Watches × Out of Order Shaker Happy Hour

As I grow older, I generally steer away from long nights that end early in the morning. But I’m very familiar with the feeling of time standing still on a night when you’re living completely in the moment. I had plenty of those when I was younger, so I relate to the scene on the hand-painted dials of this limited edition. I wouldn’t say I’d want to live through one more, but the watch certainly does conjure up many fond memories. Understandably, then, it’s another IFLW release that puts a smile on my face.
