On June 26th, 2026, the 225th anniversary of Abraham-Louis Breguet’s tourbillon patent, the Breguet brand introduced several new watches with this mechanism. Today, we focus on two of them — the Classique Tourbillon 7357 in platinum and Breguet gold.

Breguet Classique Tourbillon

These two watches in precious metal are a revival of the 1989 Breguet Tourbillon 3350 (later 3357, which we reviewed here), the brand’s first tourbillon wristwatch. Both belong to Breguet’s Classique collection. As that name implies, these watches are among the brand’s dressiest options. Breguet seems to have listened to market demand for smaller watches, as the 35mm case diameter has remained. With a thin 9.2mm profile, these Tourbillon 7357 models are perfect companions for formal occasions.

Breguet uses traditional platinum (Pt 950) for reference 7357PT’s typical fluted Classique case and the proprietary 18K Breguet Gold alloy for the 7357BH. As always, the dials are made of 18K gold. The platinum version’s dial features an electroplated anthracite finish, while the gold model’s dial is silvered. Both watches have a Clous de Paris pattern on the sub-dial at 12 o’clock and a barleycorn guilloché pattern on the large section of the dial. All applied elements are also (Breguet) gold and have a rhodium plating for the platinum version.

Caliber 187B

The new 187B movement

Aesthetics aside, the Breguet Classique Tourbillon 7357 uses a new caliber. Breguet’s in-house 187B is the successor to the famous caliber 558 used in the Tourbillon 3350 and 3357. The hand-wound 187B is a new generation and an optimized version of the 558. It ticks at 18,000 vph, just like its predecessor, but is now non-magnetic (thanks to a Nivachron balance spring with a silicon escapement) and has an increased power reserve of 60 hours. This 30mm movement also nicely fills up the aforementioned 35mm Classique case.
