This relative young brand started creating their own inhouse movements in 2004 (with their Frédérique Constant Heart Beat Manufacture). During BaselWorld 2009, Frédérique Constant introduces the Maxime Manufacture Automatic wrist watch, with inhouse caliber FC-700. The movement has a power reserve of 42 hours and features blued screws and a niceley engraved rotor that enables you to have a maximum view at the movement.

The Maxime Automatic has a diameter of 42mm, convex sapphire crystal and a see-through caseback (see picture below). The watch has a silver guilloché dial and hand polished roman indexes and hands. Frédéric Constant introduces a number of variations of their Maxime Manufacture Automatic model, including stainless steel / 18ct red gold combinations.

Frédérique Constant went from a rather unknown Geneva brand with both quartz and (ETA) mechanical movements to a brand that can add itself to the list of the lucky few [watch brands] with an inhouse mechanical movement. Therefore, Frédéric Constant becomes an interesting target for the more serious watch collectors and buyers.
