Harnessing Heritage: The Lebois & Co Numeral, Baton, And Script Small Seconds
As we’ve come to expect, Lebois & Co revives mid-century designs with care. The brand now offers its Heritage Small Seconds models in three new interpretations. Each draws from a different moment in the company’s past. Moreover, the Numeral, Baton, and Script share the same refined case and COSC-certified movement. This allows collectors to choose a personal expression without changing the core platform.
Each of today’s watches reflects the Lebois & Co back catalog. In fact, all three Heritage Small Seconds models recall watches seen at auctions or within collections in the last 15 years. As we’ll see, each carries a different dial color and design while using the same case and movement. Thankfully, all the variants look natural with this case.
The Lebois & Co Heritage Small Seconds trio
These three Heritage Small Seconds models’ 316L stainless steel case has a 37.8mm diameter, a 45.5mm lug-to-lug, and a 10.5mm total thickness (8mm without the crystal). Therefore, the proportions are compact and wearable. The double-domed sapphire crystal features an underside antireflective coating, and a screw-in case back seals the movement. These watches also have a 50m water resistance rating and a versatile 20mm lug spacing. Each comes equipped with a leather strap and a stainless steel pin buckle. For early adopters, the brand adds a complimentary Fixoflex stretch bracelet, which certainly fits the vintage design.
The Numeral Small Seconds ref. 641.500
The Numeral dial brings a full set of Arabic-numeral hour markers to a matte black surface. It draws from a watch at a 2012 Christie’s auction that inspired the brand’s return. Every numeral is crisp and sits in precise, symmetrical placement. Moreover, the design offers clear legibility with vintage charm. A recessed small-seconds register with an azurage surface completes the look.
The Baton Small Seconds ref. 641.480
The Baton takes its name from the elongated, pointed indexes seen against a stunning dark blue dial. It looks back to two recently found 1930s Lebois pieces, including one in cream-white and another in salmon. The sharply defined markers create clean contrast with corresponding Arabic numerals. In addition, the recessed small-seconds register adds a white scale matching the main minute track. Understated yet sophisticated, this version reflects pure dress-watch design.
The Script Small Seconds ref. 641.807
The third new Small Seconds model offers an opaline dial and applied script numerals. The idea was inspired by a vintage white-dial chronograph at a 2018 auction in Monaco. Designer Matthieu Allègre shaped the reinterpretation using Breguet-style numerals. Here, as on the other two variants, the delicate “Chronomètre” signature highlights the certified precision. The rest of the layout stays crisp and balanced, making the dial feel both formal and elegant.
Movement and finishing
The Sellita SW300-based LC-350 caliber powers every Lebois & Co Small Seconds model. This 31-jewel self-winding movement boasts COSC chronometer certification. The frequency sits at 28,800 vph, and the power reserve reaches 56 hours. While a manual-winding movement would also be appropriate, the automatic movement supports daily wear with reliability.
Availability and pricing
The three variants of the Heritage Small Seconds form one collection. The Numeral model offers crisp clarity, the Baton delivers a minimalist sense, while the Script adds classical touches. Regardless of their dials, all three retail for €2,650 each. Reservations for the 2027 production are now open on the brand’s official website. Deliveries will occur in early summer 2027. Therefore, collectors can secure their preferred dial choice now. Lebois & Co keeps the Heritage Small Seconds grounded in the brand’s history. Each dial recalls a specific vintage piece or auction moment. Meanwhile, the case and COSC-certified movement are shared. In short, the collection lets you choose how the Heritage Small Seconds speaks. The decision rests with the wearer.
