Hey there, it’s This Week in Watches for March 21, 2020 and we have some news for you! We delve into a concept watch and a couple more made for derring-do.

H. Moser Endeavour Centre Seconds Concept Watch

H. Moser makes some downright gorgeous watches. Their dials are mesmerizing and I’m generally a fan of their case work. The Endeavour Centre Seconds Concept watch fits within a trio of watches on the theme. There’s a tourbillon, a piece with diamonds and this simple piece. The “concept” moniker means that there is no branding or printing on the dial. The prices on the tourbillon are $65k USD (CHF is the same) in either white or red gold, and $59,900 USD (same in CHF) in steel. What we have here is a 40mm piece in stainless or gold — red or white — with either a blue or green dial. An HMC200 automatic is inside. Bell & Ross R.S.20 Collection

Bell & Ross has partnered with the Renault F1 team since 2016 and they’ve just announced a new line of watches for the 2020 season. We’re not sure if that season will ever see the green light, but it seems we will get new watches. These are far different than the concept watch above, but they’re funky in their own technical way. The BR V3-94 is the most traditional looking of the four and is a 43mm stainless chronograph with either a bracelet or black carbon effect calf strap. Pricing is €3,990 on leather and €4,300 on bracelet and will be limited to 999 pieces.

Bell & Ross BR03-94 RS20

The BR 03-94 comes in the iconic square shape. Also limited to 999 pieces, you could call this a concept watch as it was inspired by the R.S.2027 concept shown by Renault this year. This 42mm chronograph also has the cal.301 automatic and comes in a matte black ceramic case on rubber.  Pricing is €5,990.

Bell & Ross BR-X1-RS20

The BR-X1 is the final piece we’ll review and is limited to 250 pieces. This is the fanciest at €19,900 and has a 45mm case made of titanium, ceramic and rubber. The cal.313 automatic is fitted and seems similar to those above but is skeletonized. The watch has an external “time marker” rotating bezel to help keep track of those lap times. A limited €169,000 tourbillon is also available for those who are interested. More information on all three watches can be found on the Bell & Ross site.

Finally, we have the Bremont ALT1-C Griffon. This is about as far from being a concept watch as possible. After all, it looks like a proper aviator’s watch, The Griffon name refers to an engine often used by the famous WW2 Spitfire fighter plane. The 43mm hardened stainless case houses a chronometer rated ETA 7750. That case allows for 100 meters of water resistance. The dial is classic chronograph and uses aged Super-LumiNova. The watch is available for order on the Bremont site for £4,995 on leather and £5,395 on bracelet.
