From November 16th to 20th, Dubai Watch Week will take place. This event hosted by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons exists to promote horology in the best way possible. Over 60 watch brands are participating this year, including Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Breitling, F.P.Journe, Czapek, Grand Seiko, H. Moser, Hublot, MB&F, Oris, Tudor, Trilobe, Ulysse Nardin, and many more. But besides watch brands exhibiting and introducing new watches in Dubai, there are also talks, panel discussions, and masterclasses to put watchmaking and horology in the spotlight.

An event for everyone

What’s good about Dubai Watch Week is that it’s open to the public, unlike some of the other big shows where you still need an invitation as press or a retailer. It’s open and, even better, free to the public!

To make it worthwhile, besides looking at new or recently introduced watches, you will be able to join some of the talks by industry figures like Georges Kern (Breitling), Daniela Dufour (watchmaker), Davide Cerrato (Bremont), Edouard Meylan (H. Moser & Cie.),  Jean Claude Biver, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele (Chopard), Maximilian Büsser (MB&F), Rexhep Rexhepi (Akrivia), and many more on different topics. After registration on the Dubai Watch Week website, you can sign up to join the panel talks, presentations, and masterclasses.

“We are thrilled to announce the return of Dubai Watch Week in 2023. The platform is not just a watch show but a global movement, one that continues to build on our legacy across the luxury and horology industry. With evolving mindsets and industry landscapes, our goal for the 6th edition is to enhance the experiential element while focusing on storytelling, as we broaden our audience and further entice the watch community.” commented Hind Seddiqi, Director General of Dubai Watch Week.

Masterclasses at Dubai Watch Week 2023

Have you ever wanted to know more about how watch brands decorate their movements? The folks from Audemars Piguet will hold a masterclass on how they ensure their movements look the way they do. Are you amazed by some of the automatons that watch brands create? Fiona Krüger will show you how they do it in an automaton workshop on how to create your own! Louis Vuitton also has something in store for you regarding miniature painting, for example.

Dubai Watch Week also caters to watch collectors, with a dedicated lounge for those who consider themselves as such. Speaking of collecting watches, Christie’s will also be present to do watch valuations but also to talk about collecting Patek Philippe, the importance of provenance, etc.

New watch releases

From what we’ve heard, there will also be several new watch releases by the participating brands. In previous years, we noticed that many of these introductions are specifically targeted at the UAE. We will keep you posted on the novelties that will appear at Dubai Watch Week.

The 2023 edition of Dubai Watch Week will take place at The Gate, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) from November 16th to November 20th. It’s open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM (the brand exhibitions open at 10:00 AM).
