The Doxa Sub 300 Ti5 In Grade 5 Titanium Joins The Brand’s Regular Collection

Doxa is expanding its standard-production Sub 300 collection with the new Sub 300 Ti5. This introduction marks the permanent return of Grade 5 titanium to the range and comes in five of the brand’s signature colorways. Among the lineup is even a fully luminescent Whitepearl dial. The Sub 300 dates back to 1967, when Doxa developed a purpose-built dive watch for the wider public. That model established several elements that remain central to the design today. The Ti5 retains the distinctive case shape, patented bezel, oversized minute hand, and 300m water resistance. Its main update comes from the use of titanium.

In true Doxa fashion, both the fully luminous Whitepearl dial and the titanium 300 case were teased in previous models — namely, the Sub 300 Carbon Whitepearl from 2022 and the recent Clive Cussler edition, which debuted the Sub 300 Ti5 model. Those of us who got excited for the prospect of a Sub 300 in titanium joining the permanent collection didn’t have to wait long. It’s a material that suits the Sub 300’s modern-day role as a watch designed for both diving and everyday wear, especially since Grade 5 titanium offers a distinct set of properties for the Sub 300. Not only is it a stronger and more corrosion-resistant metal than steel, but it also makes the watch about 40% lighter.

Rundown: Doxa Sub 300 Ti5

The Sub 300 Ti5 has a 42.5 × 45mm case with a 13.4mm total thickness and standard 20mm lug spacing. Doxa uses Grade 5 titanium for the case, crown, and screw-in case back. Finishing on these components remains consistent with the steel models, with polished sides, brushed lugs, and dual finishes on the bezel. The watch’s 300m water resistance rating also remains. The patented unidirectional bezel combines depth and dive-time scales. Its design allows divers to correlate the two readings when planning a dive. The dial shows the hours, minutes, seconds, and date, while the oversized minute hand provides a prominent elapsed-time reference. A domed sapphire crystal with antireflective treatment covers the dial.

Doxa’s Sub 300 Ti5 collection includes five debut colorways — the orange Professional, black Sharkhunter, blue Caribbean, cherry Red Coral, and fully luminous Whitepearl. While all are available with a dial-matching Dive Flex rubber strap, a black one is also an option for the Whitepearl and Red Coral. The Dive Flex rubber strap features a woven texture and a pin buckle, reminiscent of classic Tropic straps.

As mentioned, the Whitepearl model has a trick up its sleeve. Doxa has covered its entire dial surface with Super-LumiNova, creating a uniformly luminous appearance in low-light conditions. The remaining versions use the material on the hands and dive-related indications.

A Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement powers the watch. Doxa has each movement COSC-certified, with the testing covering its chronometric performance in multiple positions and temperatures. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, uses 26 jewels, and offers approximately 38 hours of power reserve.

First impressions

The Sub 300 Ti5 takes a material-focused approach to updating Doxa’s classic dive-watch platform. While the familiar case proportions and dial architecture remain, titanium changes the watch’s weight. The color selection continues the established Sub 300 formula, with Whitepearl providing the most notable visual departure. Its full-surface lume gives the dial a different appearance from the other versions without changing the familiar layout.

The Ti5 joins the permanent collection rather than a limited-edition series. Doxa will sell all versions through its website and authorized retailers starting today, September 2nd, 2026.
