@Frank: I definately see the similarities between the PXD SS1 and the vintage Subs, or at least what their intentions were. Removing the cyclops, crown guards and adding a NATO makes it a nice homage to the vintage models. However, but I am not sure if it is possible, a matt dial would do the final trick probably

Somehow i just don’t see the ‘vintage’ looks in this particular modified Submariner. So the James Bond idea stops with the ugly nato strap in my opinion. Ah well… advertising is a business on its own
But i must admit removing the cyclopse is an excellent idea! No ugly ‘zit’ on the crystal anymore. The missing crownguards don’t look bad either…
