I have a weak spot for Omega watches. I ran into this Omega Marine Megaquartz 2400 website, which is one of the few quartz watches that should be allowed even by mechanical watch freaks πŸ™‚

The fansite contains a lot of background information, the official pressrelease (dates 1974), a brochure and instructions.

“Ran into” means “I bought it”??

I think that there are quite a few intresting quartz-watches out there that are intresting for mechanical watch collectors. Take for example the early quartz-movements by GP or their later, more complicating siblings. Of course Omega has many intresting pieces that are powered by a battery, and not to forget Breitling with their Aerospace and Emergency.
